You definitely should have a certified HVAC Technician inspect the unit from top to bottom and make sure that everything is in good working order. If the unit needs major repairs, you can ask the seller to add that repair into the contract or have the seller make repairs before you purchase the home. This is a critical step in the home buying process and can save you money.

Our Flat Rate System
Our Residential service call rates go by a flat rate system. What is the flat rate system? The flat rate system is a chart that we use to split up the price of common repairs and replacement of parts. There is no additional hourly rate added to the repair, just a flat fee. The $89 Diagnostic fee is the initial first cost of your service call. From there, the technician will explain what your options are for getting your unit back to running properly.
Diagnosed But Need to Wait on the Repair?
That’s ok with us. All you would pay is the $89 Diagnostic fee at the time of service. If you are one of our ESA Members, you pay $0 for the Diagnosis. Our ESA Members never pay a diagnostic fee for as long as they have our service! Sign up for an ESA Membership and save money.
Looking for a Second Opinion?
Lucky for you, our Second Opinions are free. If your HVAC unit has already been diagnosed but you’re looking for a second opinion, we will come re-diagnose your unit for free and give you a trusted price to get it fixed.
We do this because we know there are companies that will try to sell you parts that you don’t need. Because we never pay our technicians commission on selling customers parts or repairs, you can trust Jewell Mechanical to only sell you what you need and to diagnose your HVAC unit accurately.
