WHAT IS ENERGY STAR?
ENERGY STAR is an EPA voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency.
THE BEGINNINGS
Established by the EPA- Energy Star was created under the authority of the Clean Air Act, in 1992, for homeowners and business owners to help protect our planet from air pollution. The program is used to promote energy saving products that reduce the amount of pollution in our air and also evaluate the energy saving benefits of products.
HOW TO BE INFORMED
Energy Star products have become more and more noticeable in stores around the country. Many brands that we carry have an Energy Star rating. If you go into the light bulb section of any major store, you will see the energy star logo everywhere. A lot of times you will also see how much money and energy you can save by purchasing that specific product. Just look for the blue Energy Star logo!
